LIFE PON DI ROAD

Maxxo ban

A sunny and nomadic single as a prelude to the album to be released in 2027

Life Pon Di Road confirms Maxxo's return to the forefront of the reggae scene more than ever!

After several singles released in 2025, this track heralds his new album, slated for release in early 2027. The song speaks of escape and the life of a musician on the road, the joy of seizing the moment, and rediscovered pleasure !
With a powerful Nu Roots riddim, Maxxo pays homage to masters of the genre like Alborosie and Protoje. The music video, with its striking visuals, was filmed on the other side of the world, between Moorea and Tahiti! What better way to illustrate the life of an artist on the road ?

Maxxo

Maxxo has been active on the reggae scene for nearly twenty years! His predominantly English-language reggae, with its expertly crafted productions, has won over reggae audiences and led him to collaborate with many essential international artists, both on stage and in the studio (Alpha Bondy, Aswad, Groundation, Capleton, Dub Inc, Sinsémilia, Max Romeo, Sly & Robbie, etc.). Often compared to Gentleman, he draws his inspiration primarily from Jamaican roots reggae and dancehall. A Web Reggae Award winner for his debut album, he is also a proponent of self-production, meticulously overseeing every stage of his songwriting process with a high standard of quality and a consistently vibrant talent.

After a period in which he devoted himself to producing for other artists and other musical explorations, he returns to the forefront of the scene with brand new reggae singles and a new energy !
