Skenplis
New Ep "Ce Qu'il restera"

With Ce qu’il restera (What Will Remain), SKENPLIS unveils five reggae tracks where social commentary meets personal reflection. The title track revisits an artist's dreams, doubts, and the desire to connect with others: what will remain of what we write and what we sing ?
Singer of LNP Roots Family, SKENPLIS releases this first solo project on the Meltin’Recordz label. From one track to the next, he explores dreams of escape and the ecological crisis, addresses his daughter, and delves into romantic relationships. Direct lyrics, rooted in everyday life, are set to compositions by M’Dezoen and Airkey.

David Giordano, aka Skenplis, is a reggae/dancehall singer-songwriter, DJ, and backing vocalist from Bordeaux. Rooted in hip-hop culture, he quickly gravitated towards reggae, dancehall, and conscious music, influenced by artists like Kery James, Damian Marley, and Admiral T.
For him, the energy of dancehall meets the depth of his lyrics, with a constant aim: to make bodies vibrate while awakening consciences.
His musical journey began within his family. In 2007, Skenplis co-founded LNP Roots Family with his brother and sister. The group developed a sound blending acoustic reggae, dancehall, and a familial vibe, gaining solid stage experience with over 250 concerts in France, Switzerland, and Belgium.
This experience profoundly shaped his approach to live performance: music made for sharing, intimacy, and direct interaction with the audience. Since 2022, Skenplis has also established himself as M'Dezoen's DJ/backing vocalist, accompanying him on over 70 shows, notably at the Sun Ska Festival and ERVA.
He also backs Dougy, confirming his versatile stage presence and true mastery of live reggae/dancehall. This role as a backing vocalist fuels his high standards, his sense of rhythm, and his ability to channel collective energy on stage.
In 2024, he collaborated with M-Talah on the single "Godzilla," a track imbued with resilience and determination. This momentum continues today with "Ce qu'il restera" (What Will Remain), his new EP released on Meltin'Recordz. More personal, more open, but still true to his core identity, this project brings together what defines Skenplis: conscious reggae, direct sincerity, accessible lyrics, and a deep desire to share his music. With "Ce qu'il restera" (What Will Remain), Skenplis delivers a mature project. He speaks of journeys, ecology, family, love, flaws, and legacy. Intimate themes, but always connected to the collective. Because behind each song lies the same question: what do we leave behind when the music stops ?
